The stretch from Brahmpuri to Rishikesh is the easiest and the shortest one, around 9 km and takes only around 2 – 2.5hrs. It is a Grade I rafting expedition with easy, small waves and slow moving current giving a relaxing adventure meant for beginners. People from 7 to 65 years of age can enjoy this expedition and is ideal for family and student groups.
Your first white water rafting expedition and you want to experience all the thrills it brings with it, then signup for this expedition. Through this 16km sailing stretch you will come across Grade I & II rapids which are of moderate difficulty level and even non-swimmers can sail along these rapids. This expedition is meant for 12+ age group and takes around 3-3.5 hrs.
You enjoy white water rafting and want to keep coming back to up your level of thrill and adventure, then you need to look no further. The expedition from Marine Drive to Lakshman Jhula happens to be one of the most sought after white water rafting experience for adventure lovers arriving in Rishikesh. This is a long stretch of 27kms and the rafting expedition lasts around 5 hrs. Here you will experience the thrill of moderate to high irregular waves, narrow passages which will need precise manoeuvring round the gorges and give you that adventure packed experience. This is a Grade II & III expedition but the number of rapids you’ll go through here are more than the Shivpuri to Rishikesh stretch.

This 37 km stretch will test your guts and stamina as you will pass through as many as 13 rapids of Grade III & IV. This expedition lasts for almost 8-9 hours and passes through some of the scenic mountainsides as you manoeuvre through the full-filled and challenging river rapids. These rapids are termed as 'difficult', as they feature serious obstacles to rafters sailing along. Irregular waves, rocks and many highs await you along this white water stretch of River Ganges. The passage is clear but narrow bringing challenges for adventurers while they navigate the Ganga river rapids. An excellent example of these rapids is 'The Wall', where 9 out of every 10 raft boats flip over. This expedition is meant for physically fit, trained rafters.
The river Tons originates in Garhwal region which is part of Uttarkhand. Rising from the Bandarpunchh Mountain range at 20,720 ft (6,316 meters) and flowing through the Har-Ki-Dun valley, this is a largest tributary of river Yamuna and is believed to have more water that the Yamuna itself. The Tons valley lies in the Jaunsar Bawar region and the local tribe – Jaunsaries are believed to be descendents of the Pandavas and Kauravas and have a unique culture.
The Tons river winds through the evergreen, lush forests of the middle Himalayan Ranges through a series of Grade III & IV rapids and some adventurous Grade V rapids too. It is considered to be one of the most challenging and breath taking white water river to run in the country and has a lot of adventure and scenic beauty to offer. You will cruise through some of the most exotic white waters through rapids such as ‘On the Horns of the Tons’, ‘Tons Squeeze’, ‘Confluence’, ‘Tuni Bazaar’, ‘Major Surprise’ and many more.
